Our client who specialises in delivering exceptional commercial, hospitality, residential, and retail projects from concept to completion is looking for a Site Manager to join them on a 6-month contract.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the production of various site setup documentation.
* Monitoring construction programme and timescales.
* Managing, controlling, co-ordinate and organise site work in conjunction with Construction Manager.
* Assisting in producing phasing and programming.
* Agreeing and monitoring delivery dates and sub-contractor delivery schedules.
* Preparing and monitoring short term area programmes, if required.
* Ensuring relevant trades and work areas are checked against programme following variations.
* Issuing site directives.
* Giving site inductions.
* Assisting with resolution of defects.
* Monitoring site organisation and housekeeping.
* Attending site meetings where required and relevant.
* Managing and monitoring site logistics.
* General site paperwork and IT administration.
Health and Safety Management:
* Ensure that the company's health and safety policy and procedures are adhered to.
* Periodic management of sub-contractor health and safety including risk assessments, method statements, induction and toolbox talks.
* Requesting and tracking information for health and safety files or operation and maintenance files.
* Providing site hazard and risk information to sub-contractors / visitors / clients.
* Reporting and recording of incidents.
* Carrying out inspections as required.
* Promoting a safe working culture by a setting a good, professional example and being honest and clear with instructions.
* Completion of Daily and Weekly site inspections using Procore inspections tool.
Requirements:
* Valid CSCS, First aid and SMSTS certificates
* Hotel or commercial refurbishment experience is crucial
* Procore and 1 Breadcrumb or similar experience a bonus
* Proven record of managing staff and sub-contractors
