Working with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, the post holder will support patient rehabilitation and patient condition maintenance within the acute hospital.
The role includes both clinical and admin support working under the direction of the registered staff and working under a protocol.
Main duties of the job
As a therapy assistant, the post holder will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to the team of qualified Therapists in the acute hospital service.
The post holder will be involved in delivering interventions under the supervision of the Therapists, which will include increasing independence in functional activities and mobility.
An understanding of the use of IT is required in order to use the reporting and ordering systems.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Experience
* Relevant experience of working within a Healthcare environment, delivering therapy programmes.
* Understanding of the role of occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
* Basic knowledge of main conditions relevant to area of speciality and the effects of illness on function.
* Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
* Ability to speak Welsh.
Qualifications
* Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 e.g. A level; NVQ or OCN related to Health & Social Care.
* Computer skills e.g. use Word, Excel, Power Point and data inputting.

£26,928 to £29,551 a year per annum pro rata.
