At MIS, the Solutions team are at the heart of what we do. Our product is focused on the insurance industry and in order to better support our clients, we hire the people who know the insurance industry best, and who demonstrate an interest in the market.
Our Client Solution Analysts (CSAs) are the contact point for all our insurance clients, providing technical assistance, enabling intelligence conversations, and supporting their day-to-day needs. Furthermore, they support clients in their interpretation and application of the award-winning MIS Intelligence today, as well as leading longer-term discussions about developing workflows of tomorrow. Internally, our CSAs collaborate closely with the Product Development and Intelligence team to ensure our products meet the high standards expected by our clients.
Areas of Key Responsibilities:
* Support a robust POC/Pilot framework to support the sales team in winning new clients. This will involve providing in-depth demonstrations of our capabilities, training sessions, running historical event analysis, supporting in product evaluation, and reporting on activity to the sales team.
* Lead on the service delivery and support of key strategic clients. This will include building strong working relationships with key stakeholders, providing in-depth portfolio analysis, comprehensive solutions for navigating complex exposure portfolios and catastrophe claims and supporting with ongoing user and training needs.
* Supporting the Client Solutions Manager in the ongoing delivery of market-wide service by providing insights into working client relationships and market-wide analysis of key catastrophic events for reporting to market level committees and executive stakeholders.
* Supporting Account Management in renewal of key client contracts, by developing long-term relationships with clients and overseeing service usage.
* Develop a robust knowledge of MIS Intelligence and Portfolio Insights processes, to support clients during active catastrophes. This will involve running, validation and oversight of client data processing to ensure accurate information is always provided and providing clients with comprehensive overviews of all data and intelligence that is used within event reporting. Support in the development of new and improved Portfolio Insights reporting.
* Provide technical, insurance-focused support to the Product Development team in the development of new insurance solutions and strategic product development. Support the Product Development team as they continue to refine the core product, ensuring it meets client expectations.
* Work closely with MIS Intelligence Analysts as they continually evolve the MIS Intelligence Grid, ensuring that any output is ready for client consumption and focused on answering the questions relevant to the end users.
* Engage in client and market events such as conferences and industry programs.
Skill sets & Experience:
We are looking for someone who has:
* 5+ years' experience of the London Market and Lloyd's process or large international (Re)insurers.
* In-depth understanding of insurance processes relevant to the product (i.e., claims, exposure management, underwriting, broking).
* Ability to deliver high-quality analytical output.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships, with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and able to navigate situations where information is incomplete or unclear, making decisions and progressing even when faced with uncertainty.
Must have:
* Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline
* Operate with an innovative mindset when finding client solutions whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail.
* Have experience holding technical conversations with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Competent user of Microsoft Excel or similar.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, where a problem-solving, adaptable, and innovative mindset are a must have.
* Familiarity with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
* Working knowledge of the main exposure management dataset formats (EDM, CEDE, etc.).
* Have the desire to work in a scale-up organisation.
* Have a passion for geospatial and location data.
* Coding experience (primarily SQL, but languages such as R and Python also beneficial)
