An opening has arisen in Leeds for an Electrician to become part of the Mears family. Working within the West Leeds area, we are looking for someone who is trustworthy and can work using their own initiative to effectively problem solve but also work as part of a team made up of different tradespeople.
There is opportunity for progression within Mears. Over 50% of the supervisory staff in Leeds have come from working on the tools. Through “Mears Learning” there is extra training available on subjects such as Mental Health First Aid and further education such as mentor courses for people who see supervisory/management roles in their future.
About the Role:
Carrying out local work, you will be employed as an Electrician working on council owned properties around Leeds. The role will involve general repair, maintenance testing, inspecting, and some installation work.
Role Criteria:
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
* City & Guilds 18th Edition
* Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent is desirable
* Ideally previous domestic, social housing experience
* Full UK driving license
* Team player with the ability to work alone
