Responsibilities:
1. Developing scope and costs for capital projects while supporting the overall project team with larger capital projects.
2. Working with stakeholders (Operations Team, Safety, Quality) to ensure the requirements are compliant with the business needs.
3. Scope development through best value option analysis.
4. Project cost estimation for mechanical and construction scope.
5. Preparing scope of work enquiries and sharing with purchasing for bidding purposes.
6. Completing technical Best Value Option Analysis to determine which supplier to choose from when multiple bids are in.
7. Placing purchase orders for suppliers in our internal Coupa system.
8. Leading and participating in design reviews.
9. Managing mechanical construction for the project including writing work permits and supervision in terms of safety and quality of execution.
10. Ensuring safety is considered the #1 priority.
11. Conducting safety briefings for the construction team.
12. Regular safety tours ensuring safety protocols and RAMS are adhered to in all cases.
13. Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project timelines.
14. Preparing checklists to confirm quality, functional, and operational checks for newly installed equipment and executing the final checks to confirm that the equipment installed is functioning as per design requirements.
15. Ensuring any post start-up issues are maintained in a checklist and addressed with urgency.
Qualifications:
1. Technical expertise and experience to work unsupervised and autonomously.
2. Ability to read, interpret and understand mechanical equipment specifications, pipework drawings & layout drawings.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues and define countermeasures.
4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Self-driven and motivated with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
6. Team player with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders including Operations, Safety, Quality, etc. to achieve the best outcome for the project.
7. Please note this is a day-based, rather than a shift-based role, you'll generally work 40 hours per week; however, there will be occasions when working outside of these hours will be required.
Additional Skills:
1. Surfactant plant & process knowledge including understanding of risks associated with the Surfactant process.
2. Extensive onsite engineering experience of design and construction in a Surfactant Making plant environment.
3. Competent ability to produce technical (mech) drawings in AutoCAD, including GA’s, isometrics, P&ID’s, and 3D modeling for design and installation purposes for construction.
4. Good communication skills (written and verbal).
5. Collaboration skills to work across the site with both P&G and with other external resources.
6. Ability to provide effective training.
