Southern Boone Middle School is seeking an energetic and student-centered Assistant Principal for the upcoming school year. Our school is committed to fostering student success and creating a positive and supportive environment for both students and staff. The Assistant Principal will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the school’s positive climate, while supporting student achievement. This individual will contribute to the implementation of high-quality educational programs and collaborate with staff, students, and families to foster a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
* Program Leadership: Support the development and execution of innovative educational programs aligned with the school’s goals, including the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) implementation.
* Student Success & Discipline: Assist with maintaining discipline and guiding students to make positive choices, ensuring a successful learning environment for all.
* Curriculum & Instructional Improvement: Support curricular efforts within the Standards-Based Grading system and collaborate on the continuous improvement of instructional practices.
* School Management: Oversee the daily operations of the school, including student attendance and extracurricular activities.
* Staff Development: Work with staff to ensure ongoing professional growth and provide leadership in faculty development programs.
* School Climate: Foster a positive and inclusive school climate for both students and staff, ensuring the maintenance of high standards of behavior and academic success.
* Community Engagement: Work closely with students, staff, and parents to support student achievement and build strong relationships with the community.
* Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to all district policies and provide effective reporting and planning to evaluate educational outcomes.
* Act as Principal in the absence of the Principal.
* Actively participate in after-school activities and help lead school events.
Qualifications :
* Experience in school leadership and/or educational administration is preferred.
