Clinical Scientist - Radiotherapy Physics
Band 7
Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated medical physicist to join our Radiotherapy team. The replacement of our fleet of linacs was concluded following the installation of our second Halcyon in 2022. Additionally, the Trust is working closely with local charities to upgrade one of our Halcyon linacs so that adaptive radiotherapy can be delivered to the patients of Staffordshire through Varian’s Ethos Adaptive Therapy System. Plans are also in place for the expansion of our brachytherapy service to include prostate needle therapy.
Applicants should possess a good honours degree in physics with relevant postgraduate experience preferably including a higher degree. Preference will be given to candidates who are HCPC registered with Radiotherapy Physics as their specialty; however consideration will also be given to pre-registered candidates who will be eligible for registration within 18 months.

* sustain any strategic change or improvements in the delivery of the service as agreed with line managers.
