This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company. Working alongside the Catering Manager you will assist in providing a high standard food service. To provide an effective food production and service, motivating a team to produce the best possible results, menu planning, continually seeking to improve service delivery, controlling costs and complying with food safety and health and safety legislation. Supervisory responsibilities over Food Service Assistants and Agency Staff where relevant. Working Pattern: 25 Hours per week (additional hours may be available) Monday to Friday 7.30am to 12.30am or 8.30am to 13.30pm Rewards: 28 days' paid holidays (pro rata) Company Pension Scheme Employee Assistance Program to support your health & wellbeing Financial Education/Financial wellbeing advisory service Career Development and Training Uniform Provided Company Events The Role: Ensure food is prepared, cooked and displayed using the appropriate techniques and equipment in accordance with company hygiene standards Plan and cost menu, ensuring food is prepared and cooked at the agreed level of food gross profit. Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations. Comply with the Company & Moy Park Ltd Health, Safety & Hygiene standards. Supervise and organise the work of the Food Service Assistants and induct and train new employees as per the company procedures Ensure portion control, stock control and rotation, wastage control and utilisation of leftovers To liaise directly with the unit Manager in all kitchen operational daily issues, including personnel Assist as requested the unit Manager with appropriate daily, weekly and monthly administration including any stock take activities so that financial results can be monitored. Ensure all HACCP and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures are effective and are being adhered to at all times To comply with the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy and ensure it is complied with.
