About the role
This role is based within our Customer Connections Team, which connects customers - such as data centres, battery storage projects, offshore wind farms, transport networks, and solar farms - to the electricity transmission network.
You will join our Power System Engineering teams, working on customer connections to the Electricity Transmission System. Your role involves ensuring compliance, maximizing design value, and addressing long-term implications. You'll identify innovative options, justify infrastructure development, ensure security of supply, and support multi-million-pound projects. You'll also assess new technology impact and engage with stakeholders in whole network planning.
Key Accountabilities:
* Using innovative engineering solutions to meet customer needs and comply with our network's requirements.
* Ensuring customer connection designs are suitable and accurately describe ownership and asset classifications.
* Building and managing technical relationships with customers, understanding their business goals and fulfilling our obligations to them.
* Defining the minimum requirements for customer connections and participating in the offer process.
* Contributing to regional and national strategies, keeping records of activities to guide customers to cost-effective connection locations.
*Please be aware this would be your permanent role that you would go into after the Graduate Scheme has finished.
What you'll need to apply
You'll need to achieve a 2.2 degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Data Science discipline (or similar quantitative STEM field). Preferably this would be in Electrical Engineering. It doesn't matter when you graduated or if you are currently working towards your qualification. We just need you to be eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.

Location
This role is based in Warwick offering flexible hybrid working, where possible.
