About the Role:
This unique role involves working with students aged 7–16 who have a range of learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Class sizes are small, and support is high, ensuring every child receives the attention and tailored education they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils
* Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
* Work collaboratively with a team of support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
* Support students in developing social, emotional, and communication skills
* Track and assess student progress, contributing to personalised learning plans
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children and young people with SEN, either in a school or alternative setting
* A strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
* Creative, patient, and resilient with a proactive approach to learning
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* QTS is not essential – relevant experience and the right attitude are more important
