About the Role:
We are currently seeking skilled and ambitious Data Centre Engineers to join our clients' teams across the Southeast and Greater London area. These roles offer the opportunity to work within high-profile data centres and mission-critical environments where attention to detail and technical expertise are essential. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of critical systems within these facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems within data centre environments.
2. Diagnose and rectify faults on critical infrastructure, including power distribution, HVAC systems, UPS, generators, and BMS controls.
3. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards in line with company and client policies.
4. Conduct routine inspections and system performance checks to maintain operational efficiency.
5. Provide technical support during emergency situations, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
6. Monitor and control building management systems (BMS) to maintain optimal environmental conditions.
7. Work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure service delivery exceeds expectations.
8. Maintain accurate documentation, including job reports, risk assessments, and system records.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Electrically qualified (Level 3 or equivalent) or dual-qualified in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
2. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
3. City & Guilds 2391 (desirable but not essential).
4. Proven experience in critical facilities, data centres, or building services environments.
5. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance, PPMs, and fault diagnosis.
6. Familiarity with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, HVAC, and BMS controls.
7. Ability to work in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
