We are focusing on delivering ambitious DTC sales numbers this year whilst in parallel rapidly building the foundations of our new business model. Within the Online Commercial team we own the delivery of our direct to customer sales which includes determining our online proposition, pricing & promotions plan, developing new routes to market, trading and optimising our online merchandising, and critically delivering our customer promise through our third party logistics and customer service teams. The wider digital team includes Digital Marketing, Onsite Merchandising, UX/Optimisation and Analytics. Role and Responsibilities Your key responsibilities The Online Commercial Manager – Closed User Groups (CUG) will play a critical role within the MX Commerce team to maximise sales, deliver growth strategy and drive daily trading excellence. The core responsibility in this role is to manage Samsung Student Store and Employee Portal Stores – covering a strategic audience of 23M customers across the UK. This is a cross category role and you will manage all MX product categories including Samsung Galaxy Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops, Watches, Buds and Ring. You will lead a virtual Closed User Group team comprising of key cross-functional partners to ensure best in class execution across all customer touch points. What will be your key deliverables? CUG Commercial Performance Delivery Implement Sales Strategy and take responsibility for monthly, quarterly and yearly targets & critical metrics Develop Promotional Roadmap in line with key campaigns and accounting for historic trends Plan for new product launches and share recommendations on storefront strategy, consumer proposition, sales forecast and media planning Work with Category Managers to ensure CUG offers are aligned with DTC and Category Strategy Work with internal partners and build product level stock forecasts vs the promotional plan Recommend innovative propositions to create and meet short term consumer demands Leading Cross-Functional CUG Team Build strong working terms with the CUG team comprising of key marketing and onsite partners Lead the team to drive common CUG goals and ensuring commercial offers are implemented to a best in class standard across offsite and onsite Identify and develop our commercial and customer proposition strategy for long term Regularly analyse key competitor execution, products, activities, commercial strategies, pricing and portfolio strategy Collaborate with HQ/Divisional partners and DTC development team as required to develop or implement new propositions Skills and Qualifications What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Commercial E-Commerce experience within retail, technology or FMCG business Proficiency working on Data Analytics & reporting tools to interpret trends and make data-driven decisions Knowledge and experience of working with Digital Marketing & Web Merchandising functions Financial & commercial foresight to analyse P&L impact of sales promotions Strong communication skills and ability to share complex insights in understandable manner Influencing skills and ability to drive cross functional collaboration effectively Customer understanding and ability to tailor value proposition as per their needs and behaviour Competitive benchmarking skills to analyse industry standard methodologies and recommend internal changes where necessary Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, vlook ups etc) Strong Organisational Skills and being able to manage multiple projects/partner groups efficiently Ability to work in a fast paced environment and enjoying working as part of a team What Success looks like Delivery of Commercial Targets and Key Customer critical metric Owning and improving existing ways of working and processes across Closed User Groups Being a driving force for Closed User Groups: a self-starter with ambition to grow and develop Being identified as an expert for CUG sales and customer insights within Samsung DTC Building strong working rapports with key partners across DTC, MX and HQ Benefits of working here at Samsung include: Hybrid working (3 days office & 2 days at home) Bonus Scheme Pension contribution 3 x volunteering days each year Holiday - 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday Access to staff sales discounts on a wide range of Samsung products Access to discount shopping portal We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our Company.
