Education/Qualifications
* Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife
* Current NMC Registration
* Highly developed specialist knowledge in Gynaecology
* Post graduate qualification in leadership
* MSC programme/study or evidence of practical application of expertise at this level
Knowledge & Experience
* Extensive clinical and managerial credibility and experience gained at charge nurse or equivalent level.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, providing information to senior managers, reassurance to staff and patients/carers.
* Excellent presentation skills
* Evidence of effective working relationships
* Demonstrable leadership and management skills
* Experience of ward sister/charge nurse at Band 7
* Experience of leading and implementing change
* Financially astute/business-aware
* Good verbal and report-writing skills
