Multi Skilled Machinist
Location: Stoke on Trent
Company: A globally renowned engineering business with a strong regional presence and a history of success
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate, set up, and program a 3 Axis CNC machine
2. Handle various manual machines, including drilling, milling, turning lathes, and pedestal drills
3. Produce high-quality parts for wheel and axle manufacturing in support of the rail freight industry
4. Mentor other engineers and, when needed, take supervisory control of the department
5. Adhere strictly to Health & Safety guidelines, along with all POL and COSHH policies
Requirements:
1. Proven experience with CNC and manual machining processes
2. Strong communication skills and a good sense of humour
3. Fit, healthy, and a dedicated team player
Working Pattern & Remuneration:
35 hours per week on a 4-day schedule (Monday to Thursday), with overtime on Fridays and weekends
Option to work a permanent night shift for premium remuneration
Salary of £34,837 plus a shift allowance (ranging from £2,697 to £5,392)
