Location: HMP Fosse Way Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours) Role Overview The main role of the Offending Behaviour Programmes Facilitator is to deliver Offending Behaviour Programmes to Prisoners. Responsibilities Deliver Accredited Offending Behaviour Programmes, such as the Thinking Skills Programme (TSP), according to the establishment's delivery plan. Complete pre and post session work associated with delivering programme sessions. Attend regular supervision with the Treatment Manager. Assess Prisoners for the programmes offered on site. Write Post Programme Reports for both completers and non-completers detailing progress and any identified further work. Complete administrative tasks including processing referrals, updating waiting lists, and communicating with prison staff and external agencies regarding individual’s progress. Attend and pass any required training. Complete motivational work and assessment processes with Prisoners prior to programmes. Prepare objectives and follow-up work with Prisoners involved in programmes and provide additional support where necessary. Contribute to sentence planning and Parole process as appropriate for group members and those who have participated in groups. Experience Minimum: Experience of facilitating group work and/or experience of working with challenging client groups, along with evidence of some educational exams with reasonable results. Desirable: Experience in a forensic setting, delivering psychological interventions, and delivering accredited programmes in custody or the community. Knowledge Training will be provided, but knowledge in psychological theory, 'what works' literature related to reducing risk of reoffending, and responses to diversity issues when working with offenders is advantageous. Skills Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to motivate resistant individuals and work as part of a team. Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload and demands of the role. Ability to challenge antisocial behaviour and maintain resilience when working with offenders.
