The Role
Primary role function is the provision of support Supply Chain capability.
Working as a member of the line of business Procurement and Supply Chain team to provide Supply Chain expertise, services, support to meet the operational needs of line management and the business.
The role involves working within a clearly defined framework, and requires knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain principles, techniques and practices.

1. Working within Procurement and Supply Chain team to ensure the timely satisfaction of customer demands for tasks, spares and repairs during the support phase of a programme. Provision of key service, influencing the achievement of contractual Key Performance Indicators.
2. Application of knowledge of professional supply chain principles and practices, technologies and the programme to deliver service in accordance with line of business requirements. Understanding of the impact and implications of decisions made to business stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
3. Working with Procurement and Supply Chain representatives, cross-functional stakeholders and the customer to ensure the appropriate movement of goods (including customer furnished equipment) through the forward (customer facing) and reverse (supplier facing) supply chain; ensuring specialist requirements are addressed.
4. Proactively manage instances of under-performance within the supply chain - providing feedback to the project, Procurement team, and Procurement and Supply Chain Manager.
5. Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Likely to have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working in a Procurement/Supply Chain and Defence enviornment;
Essential skills require:
6. Knowledge of the RFX processes. (Processing customer RFQs and demands, preparing and submitting quotations, raising purchasing requistions)
7. Knowledge of Asset Management processes and systems.
8. Experience of managing goods in systems and knowledge of stock management systems.
Resolving customer queries, updating and maintaining records.
Possess a good standard of competence in areas of providing customer support, demand planning, inventory management, asset management, spares and repairs provision and logistics processes and technologies.

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
