Job Title: Principal FPGA Engineer
A key opportunity exists for an experienced FPGA professional to collaborate with a skilled team within our state-of-the-art facility in Maidenhead.

The Role
The Principal FPGA Engineer will play a pivotal role in the Cyber Unit's Firmware team, focusing on R&D and production programs of varying complexity, designing, architecting, and testing FPGA Firmware.
This senior engineer will be responsible for reviewing and approving work, contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, and ensuring adherence to relevant standards.
In addition, they may lead assigned projects, providing technical guidance to a team of engineers, and serving as a mentor to junior colleagues.
Requirements
This position suits an experienced engineer proficient in Firmware development across the entire engineering lifecycle, with expertise in designing synchronous and asynchronous systems.
Experience with Lattice, Xilinx, Altera, or Microsemi FPGAs is required, alongside knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols for communication interfaces.
Military equipment development experience is beneficial but not essential.
Security Clearance
A UK Security Clearance at the highest level is mandatory for this position. A £5,000 annual bonus will be provided once this clearance is obtained or transferred.
It is possible to commence work at a lower level of UK Security Clearance while the application process is underway.
Location
This role requires full-time on-site work in the Maidenhead area due to the classified nature of the work.
On-site parking and an early finish on Fridays are available.
