The Diocese of Westminster is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to co-lead the financial accounting function, mentor a team of three Accounts Assistants, and support the Financial Controller in delivering a robust financial framework.
About the role
As a key member of the Finance team, you will:
1. Work collaboratively across the Diocese to enhance financial accountability and communication.
2. Oversee and support a team, providing mentorship and professional development.
3. Lead on month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
4. Manage fixed asset accounting, internal recharges, and bank reconciliations.
5. Review and approve payments, ensuring efficient financial operations.
6. Support the annual audit process and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About you
We are looking for someone who:
1. Is a qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
2. Has strong financial accounting knowledge and experience in month-end reporting.
3. Can manage and develop a team, fostering a supportive and high-performing culture.
4. Has excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
5. Is proficient in Excel and Word (experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus).
6. Brings a can-do attitude, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
