A car driver is essential
My client is recruiting a Quality Control Technician to join their expanding team.
This role is t o ensure the safety, quality, legality, and authenticity of products through Quality Control systems and procedures when applied to incoming stock and outgoing samples to customers. Training will be given, however, candidates will need to be available to start work in March, and possess strong communication and organizational skills, and a driving license is essential due to location and travel to their warehouse based in Ossett.
Purpose of the role full training given
Preparation and dispatch of commercial samples to customers
Conduct the QC parameters testing of incoming ingredient samples
Analyzing the QC testing results and create company Certificates of Analysis
Organizing samples for external laboratory testing
Daily Duties: - full training given
Travelling to the warehouse (based in Wakefield, use of company vehicle) to take samples and retrieve sacks or samples.
To assist in completion of customer SSAQs
Updating traceability information for samples onto the company IT system
Monitoring and controlling stock, samples and consumables used in the Sampling area.
Organizing and documenting the retained samples storage
Monitoring and chasing incoming supplier Certificates of Analysis and transferring data to the IT system
Help monitor and chase due diligence documentation from suppliers as requested.
Work closely with the Quality Coordinator in updating and implementing the company's testing regimes
Document control and recordkeeping
Assist in possible quality issues investigations.
Deputizing Quality Coordinators responsibilities in case of absence and holiday (where trained)
Keeping the sampling and testing area clean, hygienic and tidy
Deliver the Customer Charter Principles and company values
Help with other Quality Dept administration or improvement initiatives when required
About You
This is a 12-month fixed term contract, therefore an immediate start is essential.
You will need to have a driver's license and preferably a car due to the location.
You will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Good communication skills are important, you may speak to a customer on the telephone and you need to communicate with internal departments.
