Qualified French Teacher
Birmingham
Aspire People are currently looking to recruit an excellent French teacher who's looking for a new challenge and wants to be part of a strong department. The post will involve teaching throughout the school and also directing extra-curricular school productions. The position is to start after October half term.
A teacher recently said, "This is such a great place to work - everyone is so supportive of every single teacher who steps through the door and the school behaviour policy is great."
The successful applicant will be able to teach French to KS4. You must be able to differentiate lessons and cater for students of all abilities, as well as demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes. The school targets are ambitious, but for the right person, this is a rare opportunity to both make a difference and lead the Academy to the next level.
I have placed many teachers into the school and they all have very positive things to say about their time there, with my most recent saying, "The SLT team are really supportive. They have a clear vision with staff development and career progression." The school really looks after their staff, both permanent and temporary, and they are well known for having the learning and development of their staff as a core value.
As a full-time MFL teacher, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected:
1. Teach French to KS3 & KS4 level.
2. Assess, mark and plan lessons.
3. Assess achievements of pupils.
4. Provide progress reports and attend parent's evenings & dept meetings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher to make rapid progress and work in one of Birmingham's most outstanding schools. Staff are highly valued and training is offered throughout the year. For ECTs, there is an extensive induction programme set in place and experienced teachers mentor teachers, enabling them to progress through their induction year.
The school is looking for a truly outstanding teacher who is able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice and can work in a high-achieving team. A teacher that sets high expectations of students and is able to motivate all pupils to achieve is needed.
