Join our UKCS - Balfour Beatty Living Places team as a Winter Maintenance Driver and you’ll be part of it. What you'll be doing Required to take part in the Winter Service Delivery, ensuring the highway is salted in preparation for cold/icy conditions keeping the highway safe for general users, as well as the removal of snow in such conditions. All works undertaken by the Winter Maintenance Operative / Driver must be completed to the required Health, Safety and Quality standards. You will be required to be available on a standby rota every other week as a minimum. Technical / Operations Ensure that all Daily vehicle Checks are undertaken and reported. Conduct winter gritting activities against required quality standards. Perform driving activities to assigned Winter Maintenance Routes. Ensure the work is completed right first time. Compliance with all fleet movement procedures at the operational depot. Who we're looking for The following Qualifications are Mandatory: Class C Licence CPC Tacho Card The following qualities are essential: Health and Safety first Adaptable to changing situations Team work Reliable Willing to learn Listen to and do what is required Pride in work Honest / Act with integrity Customer facing Positive Attitude Professional Conduct Willing to share knowledge Quality and accuracy of work Continually striving to improve performance Good Communication skills The following is desirable but not essential as training can be provided: Winter Service – Units 513 and 580.
