SummaryThe Systems Implementation Engineer provides technical support in the development and implementation of customer applications and company products. Conducts on-site installations, enhancements, maintenance and support for new and existing systems. Implements new product configurations/software upgrades, installs hardware components/peripherals. Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs technical problems. Will become knowledgeable of company and third-party vendor products utilized in the customer's application/systems. The successful candidate should be able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance and pre-empt/predict then diagnose customer impacting issues (Tier2).
The individual will be responsible for:
1. Leading the integration and deployment of systems in test, and live environments, both for internal use and on-premises at customer sites.
2. Covering a wide range of skills supporting the implementation of solutions at customer sites.
3. Supporting test activities as required.
4. As a subject matter expert on solutions deployed, perform occasional Tier2 support.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Experience in installing and configuring operating systems to support enterprise applications and services.
2. Expertise in containerisation and orchestration, essential. Experience of Docker and Kubernetes for scalable, resilient application deployment.
3. Strong expertise in server, PC, and network administration, including:
4. Routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
5. System security hardening and compliance best practices.
6. Proficiency in high-availability virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware and Proxmox.
7. Strong knowledge of database technologies, such as: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
8. Experience with backup, replication, and failover strategies.
9. Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, and SQL for system administration and process automation desirable.
10. Certifications such as Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), VMware (VCP), or Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) are highly advantageous.

1. Educated to a degree level in software engineering or computer science or have equivalent experience.
2. Requires a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience of Implementations experience in controlled environments.
3. Proven track-record delivering projects. Demonstrated ability to drive the planning, execution, and operation of complex projects.
4. Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
6. Must be legally eligible to work in the UK (Basingstoke).
Work Environment
1. Employees work primarily in office environments, within a well-ventilated area, and is exposed to moderate noise levels.
2. Compliance with all relevant customer and business global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, Environmental systems, and laws.
3. Travel and fieldwork (up to 40%-60%), including international travel as required for implementations, training, FATs, UATs, SATs, CATs, early life support, and occasional support visits. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
