More about your role
As Asset Appraisal Manager you will co-ordinate a small team managing a high-volume void appraisal program aligned with the Asset Ownership Strategy. You'll be responsible for achieving business plan targets related to void appraisals through managing referrals, appraisal and handover processes. Your focus will be on continually improving processes and data insight to ensure we are delivering high quality, accurate appraisal recommendations faster and in line with group strategies, balancing long-term investment with social outcomes. Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration will be key, particularly with colleagues in our voids, finance, legal and transaction teams. You will also support the work of the wider team in ensuring we understand how our assets perform and continually drive improvement and innovation. Additionally, you will deputise for the Head of Asset Performance in meetings and project teams.

Strong understanding of political, financial, regulatory, social, and environmental challenges to ensure assets meet housing needs and deliver financial returns.
Experience of undertaking data-driven financial appraisals on social housing assets, balancing financial and social outcomes to ensure effective decision making.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse range of stakeholders to ensure targets are met and standards maintained.
Proven experience of improving business processes to drive improved efficiency and outputs.
Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and managing a large volume workload and targets.

Your communication skills will be exemplary and you will be comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. You should have a strong awareness of the political, regulatory, social, and environmental challenges in the sector to ensure the Group's assets meet housing needs and deliver solid financial returns. Your experience should include making strategic, data-driven real estate decisions to improve portfolio performance, particularly regarding individual void properties; and a focus on continual improvement.
