We are growing our team in Warrington and the surrounding areas, we are seeking for dedicated and committed Healthcare Assistants to join us and build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
We support adults with long term, life limiting conditions, providing specialist, person centered care which is tailored to their individual complex care needs.
This rewarding role offers days & waking night shifts, on a full time or part time basis, providing essential care to our service users within their own homes.
Our service users live within Wigan and the surrounding areas and require a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are committed to support their long term, ongoing care needs.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in not only attending to the clinical care requirements of our service users but also assisting them in enjoying activities they love.
At home, you will participate in various activities tailored to the interests and needs of our service users. Our care also extends outside the home, where you will assist with community outings, shopping trips, and park visits.
Throughout the night, you will support evening or bedtime routines and remain alert and responsive, responding accordingly to their care needs.
This can include frequent observations, carrying out personal care, moving and handling, and carrying out clinical interventions.
This is a personally rewarding role where you can build on your skills and experience, whilst delivering exceptional care and support to our service users, really making an impact on their day-to-day lives.
Essential Requirements
1. 3 months previous care experience
2. Personal Care
3. Moving and Handling
4. Medication Administration
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
6. Valid UK Driving Licence (required for day shifts)
It would be advantageous if you have some experience of the following:
7. Tracheostomy Care *
8. PEG Feeding*
9. Ventilation Management *
10. Oral suctioning
11. Nebuliser Care
12. Enteral Feeding
13. Epilepsy & Seizure management
14. Challenging Behaviours
*These can be essential requirements within some packages of care.
Please note, whilst not essential for all our roles, it would be beneficial if you are a driver with access to a vehicle.
We have the following shifts available;
15. Full Time & Part Time
16. Days – Shifts between 7.00am – 8.30pm
17. Nights – Shifts between 7.00pm – 9.00am
Our pay rates start from £13.00 per hour (approx. £156 per 12-hour shift)
