We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Winchester, a Category B male prison just outside of the city centre. HMP Winchester has free onsite parking as well as excellent transport links - there is a bus stop opposite the site and the train station is a 10 minute walk.
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. HMP Winchester is a remand prison with capacity of around 650. Hours: This is a full time role, hours per week, and you will work on rotational shifts, including weekends. Shift patterns are usually 07:30 - 21:00 - 3 long shifts per week. Salary: This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £29,085 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you?

Main duties of the job
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
1. Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
2. Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
3. Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
4. Support the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care on the wings and healthcare centres

16. Hold a NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
17. Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
