ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to company expansion and a healthy order book, my client is recruiting permanently for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a mains renewal project as part of their Thames Water Capital Delivery Water contract.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for ensuring robust estimates align to scope and make allowance for risks and opportunities; produce commercial performance reports together with cost and value reports; ensure actual costs are monitored and assessed; provide reports on actual costs vs estimate and identify underlying reasons for any variance and resolutions and liaise with the project team to ensure any contractual notifications required and are issued in accordance with the contract.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will be degree qualified in quantity surveying or commercial management and hold a minimum of 4 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the utility industry for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor. You must hold knowledge of NEC 3 forms of contract, hold a strong understanding of both pre and post contract work and be a strong user of excel and sheet automation.

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 (dependant on experience). In addition to this, you will be offered a company car or car allowance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), healthcare cover and access to the group pension scheme.
