The role
As the Floating Maintenance Technician, your duties will be to perform and coordinate a broad range of maintenance, repairs and installation activities, providing facilities performance reports to management, as directed, to contribute to a high standard of facilities for tenants and visitors and to contribute to the safety and security of all our properties.
What will you do?
* Under limited supervision, apply intermediate knowledge of specific technical/operational practices and procedures (within own team). Incumbents apply established standards to generally routine assignments. Scope of issues tend to be fairly well-defined, and range from moderate to complex. A level of independent judgement is required.
* Typically carries out more complex maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building mechanical and electrical services in accordance with relevant statutory standards to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff and visitors.
* May contribute to and carry out regular reviews of maintenance management plans to assist in the identification of service needs, preparing reports for operations management as directed to support informed decision making and contribute to continual quality improvement.
* May coordinate and oversee activities associated with installations and/or life cycle replacement programmes of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment, monitoring performance against established budgets, driving quality and providing operations management with regular reports to support efficient property operations and maintain acceptable standards of facilities in line with Property, Company and regulatory standards.
You will bring
* Relevant vocational/trade/certification and/or qualification in a related discipline, with comprehensive experience in a related operations support or building maintenance role, and/or knowledge of the property management industry, and relevant legislation relating to facilities operating environments (including Occupational Health and Safety regulations).
* Knowledge and understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of major items of plant and systems, such as ventilation plant systems, high and low voltage electrical distribution systems, door access and fire alarm systems.
* Communication and customer service skills combined with good organising skills including the ability to coordinate multiple/concurrent tasks.
