More detail about the role We are a small but busy department providing a wide range of non-invasive investigations and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hardworking person to join the team. The level 4 apprenticeship is a two-year programme of work-based learning that is directly related to the apprenticeship standard, Healthcare Science Cardiorespiratory (HCS-CR) Apprenticeship Level 4 Diploma. The role will be a mix of in-house training and 20% off the job learning through our chosen educational provider, the apprentice may have to attend college or virtual lectures. The department offers a comprehensive range of non-invasive investigations including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, physiologist led exercise tolerance tests, ambulatory analyses, respiratory function tests including spirometry and single breath diffusion test. The academic part of the training will be provided by the NHSE chosen providers, where you will undertake mandatory modules and optional modules to gain minimum of 100 credits to pass the Diploma. On successful completion of the course and qualification gained, the applicate will work to complete all local competency levels for the role and will then move to a permanent Healthcare Science Associate practitioners role. There is an expectation that you will work for the Trust for 2 years upon successful completion of the qualification.
