Electronic Engineer, International Travel, 40-55k, hybrid working

An exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineer with at least 5 years' post graduate experience working on electronic control systems within the mechanical and engineering industries, to join our team based in County Armagh, Northern Ireland on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be part of the electronic design and implementation team, who are responsible for developing electronic and electrical control systems for our mushroom harvesting system. The role will include the design and production of control systems at our premises in County Armagh and installation and commissioning of mushroom harvesting systems on customer sites. The role also includes working with our design team on R&D projects to further our current product range, bringing new products to market. Your new company is a family run business and an exciting company to work for with R&D at its forefront. Due to an ever-growing order book, and continual research and development projects, we are looking to add an Electronic Engineer to our team. The successful candidate will be required to travel internationally, as required, depending on the project and customer site location.
Your new role
Design and further development of our electronic and electrical control systems:
1. Software development (utilising Schneider control systems)
2. Design of electrical schematics
3. Produce accurate BOM's for electrical components
4. Production of electrical drawings
5. Wiring of electrical control panels
6. Generating and maintaining technical documentation including work instructions, bills of materials, technical file and critical components lists
7. Liaise with the R&D design team to refine and extend our product range
8. Participate in R&D projects
9. Installation and commissioning of systems on customer sites (Internationally as required)
10. Post-installation customer support and troubleshooting
What you'll need to succeed
1. B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
2. Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
3. Read and produce detailed electrical drawings
4. Experience in schematics and software programming
5. Knowledgeable in electrical design regulations and standards
6. Demonstrate electrical expertise, and ability to improve products or services by applying professional knowledge
7. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise changing situations
8. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
9. Ability to build, install and commission our current products
10. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
11. Maintain technical specifications
12. Work on my own initiative and as part of a team
13. Willingness to travel
14. Overtime as required to meet project deadlines
15. An awareness of general Health and Safety regulations
Desirable skills and requirements
1. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems
2. Certified in 18th Edition Regs
