We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with a successful principal interior fit out / refurbishment contractor operating across the United Kingdom from a number of offices. This privately-owned company is building a solid reputation for delivering fit out & refurbishment projects of a very high standard. Current turnover stands at approximately £15m with projects ranging from £250k - £5m+. Their reputation has allowed them to venture into several different sectors including student accommodation, commercial, hotel and office fit out to name a few.
The Project Manager Role
The role has opened after being awarded a number of new contracts for refurbishments & interior fit outs for a variety of projects within the hotel, student accommodation and commercial sectors. Projects can be located anywhere across the United Kingdom.
The successful applicant will be expected to manage their own diary and workload, working from home or site when required. There may be a requirement to stay overnight once or twice a week when visiting the sites. A dynamic, organised and driven individual is required.
Experience of managing hotel, student accommodation, leisure and office refurbishment / interior fit out schemes would be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
As the Project Manager, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the delivery of multiple projects and will be accountable for all aspects of the scheme including client liaison. Typical responsibilities will include:
1. Be able to survey a project and put together a scope of the works
2. Attend project tender interviews
3. Cost management
4. Produce tender documentation such as tender programmes and method statements
5. Review and comment on Contract documentation
6. Produce project protocol documentation
7. Arrange and chair internal project kick off meetings ensuring all aspects of the business are briefed on the details of the project
8. Production of Construction Phase Plan
9. Arrange and chair subcontractor and client meetings
10. Record meeting minutes
11. Review and approval of all drawings to ensure accuracy before issuing to client team
12. Manage the project commercials on a daily basis
13. Assessment of sub contractor packages and negotiating, ensuring best possible commercial and programme packages are achieved
14. Development of project programme from tender programme to fully functioning project programme
15. Compile and issue Sub-Contract order documents
16. Set up and manage the project cost / value reporting document (CVR)
17. Identify and maximise cost changes throughout the contract
18. Extension of Time (EOT) claims
19. Value subcontractor applications and produce / issue payment certificates
20. Produce / issue project valuations
21. Agree variation costs with both clients and subcontractors
22. Agree final accounts with both clients and subcontractors
23. Ability to lead a project team throughout the course of the contract
24. Sourcing of a Site Management team for relevant projects
25. Regular site visits to assess progress and liaise closely with site team
26. Production of O&M manuals

The successful candidate will require the following:

* Ability to work to deadlines
* Relevant training and qualifications
* A full UK driving licence
* Knowledge and experience of using the following software - Windows MS Office / Fully proficient with Excel, Word & Microsoft Project Programme
Benefits:
You will have the opportunity to earn up to £70,000 basic salary per year DOE with pay-reviews occurring on a 12-month basis. The package also includes a car allowance, bonus, private healthcare and an invitation into the company pension scheme.
