Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, geography or equivalent
* Chartered Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, APM, etc.
* Technical experience in UK flood risk legislation and planning standards
* Experience in developing business cases for flood risk management schemes with the aim to secure Flood Defence Grant in Aid (FDGiA) funding
* Knowledge of hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller TUFLOW) or drainage modelling software (MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow) and technically competent in fundamental hydraulic design principles
* Experience or an understanding of project management or principles to achieve project delivery
* Experience working with public sectors such as LLFA’s and/or EA
* Experience of working on planning applications and awareness of LLFA duties
* Experience working in client-facing environments and ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A full UK driving licence
* Chartered Membership of a relevant professional organisation
