You will learn how to prioritise tasks and where your time is best spend to ensure these are met or help your colleagues in achieving theirs. Team working - we are very much a team at MCP. Everyone has their own job roles and responsibilities. As a Recruitment Apprentice you will play a vital role in achieving team goals. We don't expect anyone coming into an Apprenticeship to have past experience in a similar role, although if you have then great This role will be about learning and developing your skills within a work place. In order to be successful in the role there are some skills or personality traits that will help you and ideally you will have at least a few of these listed below: Excellent at Communicating - You will speak to lots of different people on a day to day basis You need to be happy to speak both in person and over the phone. Timekeeping and Attendance is good - We expect reliability from people who work here. We understand on occasion things happen but ensuring you are in attendance and on time is really important. A "People Person" - if you don't really like people then Recruitment probably isn't right for you A Positive Attitude - Some days can be tough when working in Recruitment, therefore you need to be someone who has quite a positive mental attitude and views things with a "glass half full" approach. Fast Learner - You will be required to multi task and there will be lots of learning. Each task will be learnt and practiced until you feel confident. If you are naturally someone that learns or adapts quite quickly you might find that easier. Duties will include but not be limited to - Registering candidates who are seeking work. Entering their details onto a database, under taking mini interviews, ID checking and paperwork completion. - Answering incoming telephone calls, assisting with enquiries, taking messages and booking in appointments. - Making telephone calls to candidates to seek information or offer work assignments. - Mailbox monitoring. You will monitor a number of incoming email inboxes and be responsible for handling these, responding, directing them elsewhere within a reasonable time frame. - Placing job adverts using a number of resources such as Website, Job Boards, Social Media, LinkedIn, Office window display etc - Resourcing of candidates - Using a database and online resources to seek candidates that match a certain job advert and then contacting these or passing them onto a Consultant. - Keeping parts of the office neat and tidy to ensure professionalism (i.e. reception, waiting areas, desk etc) this might include changing of posters, shredding documents, filing, storage etc - Auditing of other Consultants files using databases and Excel spreadsheets. -Assisting the Branch Manager and the Director directly with specific Admin tasks - Personal Assistant (PA) duties. - General office "running" - For example trips to the post office, stationery suppliers, bank, shops etc - Site visits where you may have to undertake inductions, assessing risks, meeting with clients etc (this would be with a Consultant or Manager). During your apprenticeship you will be supported in your learning by a dedicated Training company who will assist you in working through your qualification (Recruitment Apprenticeship). Should you need to re-sit exams such as English or Math they will assist you with this also. You will be given a dedicated Assessor who will come to our office once a month to assist you. You will be expected to complete a range of coursework during your apprenticeship. MCP will give you dedicated time during your working week to do this, however you may find you will need to put in some "homework" hours over the course of the 18 months. Therefore you need to be dedicated to undertaking the training. WHY WORK AT MC PERSONNEL?
