Role Overview:
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will be a key member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality, comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. This role requires an autonomous and highly skilled practitioner capable of assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. The ANP will work in close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive continuous, holistic care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
* Develop and implement treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications and making referrals to other healthcare professionals.
* Provide expert clinical advice and support to patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues.
* Lead and engage in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.
* Contribute to the education and development of nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with best practices and regulatory standards.
* Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Registered Nurse with the NMC.
* Master's degree in Advanced Nursing Practice or equivalent.
* Independent prescribing qualification (V300) is essential.
* Extensive experience in an advanced clinical role, preferably as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
* Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
