Job summary An exciting opportunity to work as a Specialty Doctor. The post is a split post between Cleadon (functional old age ward) and Roker (organic old age ward) at Monwearmouth hospital. You will part of a well established MDT which includes Nurses, Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurse Consultants, Psychologists, SALT Practitioners, OT as well as a visiting GP. The trust offers support to SAS doctors including SAS tutor, SAS development days as well as support for developmental opportunities (e.g. obtaining specialist registration or approved clinician status through portfolio route, research, medical education, management opportunities for interested SAS doctors) We can not offer GMC sponsorship for this role. Main duties of the job You will be providing input into assessment and treatment of the patients on the unit under the supervision of the consultant psychiatrist.
