Commissioning Engineer Home / Remote Based role with Regional Travel to clients £40,000 - £45,000 plus Car Allowance UK based
Our client is a design and manufacturing lighting company and they are seeking to expand their commissioning team due to workload, hence looking for a permanent Commissioning Engineer to join the team. They require someone with experience of SES / building site experience as a Commissioning Engineer, working with electrical products such as lighting and being responsible for their software / programming installation and any associated fault finding / problem solving that comes along with this. You will be travelling 5 days a week to building sites, working on lighting controls. It would be beneficial if you had Helvar and / or Light IP experience but, this can be trained.
Purpose of Role Commissioning engineers play a vital role in our business to make sure that the systems they are responsible for work properly and meet the clients needs/specification.
Key Responsibilities Making improvements to and offering advice about, installation and fault finding Scheduling and co-ordinating their time with contractors to meet tight deadlines Ensuring all equipment works as per the specification Creating, carrying out and demonstrating test and operational procedures Investigating problems, diagnosing and repairing faults Troubleshooting Liaising with installation/project managers Managing engineering and technical staff Writing reports and documentation Providing technical support Ensuring safe working conditions Training maintenance and operative staff at handover
Essential Requirements Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Leadership and managerial skills Team working skills Good IT and analytical skills.
Experience Relevant technical expertise (for example in test, design, development and operations) Commercial awareness
Circumstances Current driving license, able to attend some meetings out of normal office hours, regional travel
