Job Description
We seek Experienced, Caring, and Compassionate individuals who are ready to provide quality care and support to our residents. If you’re available for mid-weeknight shifts 2200 - 0645 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) on a part-time basis, we want to hear from you! Opportunities for additional shifts are available.
Working under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the AIN plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our aged care residents and aids in the smooth running of Residential Care. You understand the importance of the impact you can make through your relationships with our residents by demonstrating our core Sona (happiness) values.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Providing personal care and mobility support
* Monitoring health and assisting with meals
* Collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality service
Desired Skills and Experience
To have the opportunity to work in a supportive and fulfilling Aged Care environment, where you make a meaningful difference by enriching the lives of others, you should possess:
* Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support
* Must be able to work on a permanent part time basis working mid-weeknight shifts
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including an ability to communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their family members in a compassionate and empowering manner.
* Digital literacy skills to utilise tablet devices or computers
* Competence in the provision of contemporary nursing care, and documentation skills
* Strength to cope with the physical demands of this position
Whilst prior experience as an AIN is preferred, we also value:
* Experience or training in manual handling techniques
* Experience or training in dementia
* Flexibility to work various days/shifts
* Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and ACFI will be well regarded
Position Requirements
* Be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate through BallyCara
