My client is an impressive consultancy firm seeking an experienced, personable, and driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is eager to advance to Quantity Surveyor. You will have the opportunity to join a friendly, professional, and ambitious team working on a variety of projects within the construction and civil engineering industry. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all project costs from pitch to completion.
2. Inspecting and valuing completed work.
3. Authorising sub-contractor applications and payments.
4. Making variation orders.
5. Conducting meetings with the client about any onsite issues.
6. Developing strong relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
7. Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts as per contractual deadlines in connection with live projects, for the client's approval.
8. Assisting in the production of cost value reports and forecasting cash recovery to ensure targets are met.
9. Monitoring project progress.

What the ideal candidate will have:
1. A degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
2. Previous experience in working on infrastructure projects.
3. Great verbal and written communication skills.
4. A full UK driving license.
