Main duties of the job
1. Co-operate and assist with other work streams and with other members of staff to maintain a smooth running and effective service.
2. Liaise with the tenants as required.
3. Undertake heavy duty cleaning as required.
4. Have knowledge and understanding of the fire, risk and health and safety at work policies for the property together with all other relevant policies.
5. Receive mail and distribute accordingly.
6. Removal and storage of clinical and other household waste.

Job responsibilities
We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time General Assistant to join our team based in Wokingham - Wokingham Hospital 41 Barkham Road.
* Hours of Work: 25 hours per week.
* Shift pattern: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12pm-5pm & Friday-Saturday 2pm-7pm.
* Pay: £12.36 per hour.
* Training will be provided.
* DBS & Driving licence required.
About the role:
* This role will work within the facilities team to undertake a range of cleaning duties to include operating electrical floor cleaning equipment, steam cleaning equipment in line with the national cleaning specification, ensuring all areas are clean, tidy and well maintained.
* To ensure the completion of caretaking duties and basic maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.

Qualifications
* Training will be provided on the job through a combination of instruction and practice or by attending training sessions.
Experience
* Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
* Experience of following Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
* Experience in the operation of electrical cleaning equipment.
* Experience of operating a switchboard/handling client phone calls.
