The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Programme Manager to lead and oversee various curricula within the Childcare and Health sectors. In this role, you will ensure that teachers and course leaders consistently deliver exceptional educational outcomes, meeting and exceeding the college’s high standards for teaching and learning. You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager for Quality and Curriculum and the central Teaching and Learning team to drive excellence across the department.
A significant aspect of your role will involve business development, where you’ll enhance the curriculum to align with sector demands and labour market intelligence (LMI). By collaborating with Teaching and Learning Coaches, you’ll champion the integration of digital technologies into teaching and learning, ensuring staff are equipped with the training and development opportunities needed to use these tools effectively.
You will promote evidence-based best practices to improve staff performance and foster a culture of continuous development across the department. Your strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage and drive exceptional performance across multiple curricula will be essential. You’ll identify areas for improvement and implement targeted actions that deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your work. You’ll build strong partnerships with colleagues across the college and external stakeholders, including employers, to enhance curriculum delivery and respond to the evolving demands of the sector. Your focus on aligning the curriculum with labour market needs and sector expectations will ensure it remains relevant, forward-thinking, and impactful.

Required
• Degree in a relevant subject or significant sector experience
• Teaching qualification or willingness to achieve Level 5 PGCE
• Minimum 5 years' teaching experience, including course coordination
• Proven track record of exceptional teaching practice
• Experience in innovative curriculum and programme development
Preferred
• Management qualification
