About the Role:
Due to expansion, we are looking for ambitious individuals with an extensive background of PLCs and good knowledge of SCADA and HMI applications. Full development life-cycle and onsite commissioning experience is essential. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organised, determined and will thrive in an expanding development environment. They will have a willingness to work within a dynamic team to get the job done to a high standard. Remote working is possible; however, a visit to the office occasionally will be necessary.
Main Duties:
1. Deliver complex PLC/SCADA and HMI systems to customer requirements and programme schedules within budget.
2. Responsible for taking ownership of all aspects of software engineering including requirements specification and management, design, implementation, functional safety, testing, configuration management and quality assurance.
3. Producing project documentation, writing specifications, schedules and technical reports.
4. Interfacing with clients on technical matters.
Essential Job Specific Skills & Qualification:
1. Experienced with using PLC systems (Rockwell, ControlLogix, PLC2, PLC5, SLC500, Siemens: S5, S7, Modicon: 984, Omron, Mitsubishi).
2. Experienced with using SCADA/HMI applications (Rockwell PanelViews; Siemens OP & TD, Wonderware Intouch, RS View).
3. Experienced with using Serial Interfaces (Modbus, RS422 and RS232).
4. Capable of fault diagnosis within IT and PLC/SCADA System architectures.
5. Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
6. Highly organised and self-motivated.
7. Able to use own initiative and work without supervision.
8. Experienced in mentoring and developing junior team members.
9. Ability to travel with full driving license.
10. Must be able to attain UK Security Clearance.
Desirable:
1. Experience in multiple industry sectors.
2. Experience with modelled requirements.
3. Experience with developing .net applications.
4. Knowledge of IEC61508/61511 Safety Guidelines.
5. Good presentation and communication skills.
6. Advanced level of using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio and Access).
