WHO DO WE NEED?
We are looking for someone with excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills who has:
1. Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience of data centre and campus networking technologies: Cisco (routing, switching, firewalls), Palo Alto (Next Gen firewalls), F5 (global and local load balancing), encryption;
2. Strong understanding of routing protocols (static and dynamic) in data centre, campus and wide area networks;
3. Strong experience of operating high availability data centre networks supporting critical workloads on Windows, Linux and SAN including technical refresh of large numbers of devices;
4. Strong experience of monitoring and management tooling including Solarwinds, FMC, Panorama;
5. Good general knowledge of Windows Server Environments (including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP and GPO) and Linux (RHEL) data centre server infrastructures;
6. Good general knowledge of Microsoft Stack technologies such as MS SQL, MS System Centre;
7. Excellent analysis and problem solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer;
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
9. Knowledge and experience of working in Agile and/or Scaled Agile delivery teams where secure by design is the approach to delivery.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
1. Providing network skills and producing low level solution designs as part of the delivery team;
2. Working with delivery teams to implement modern, highly available, scalable networks using a range of new and emerging technologies including automation;
3. Inputting into network management and acceptance aspects including setting standards and providing your technical expertise to Leidos programme teams;
4. Utilising the concepts and principles of verification and validation to deliver relevant network designs;
5. Collaborating with customers on all aspects of network management including the assurance and integration of infrastructure services to meet the needs of multiple lines of business;
6. Recognising and exploiting business opportunities by leveraging architecture and design best practice;
7. Communicating effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context.
