COMMERCIAL CATERING SERVICE ENGINEER – SCOMAC CATERING EQUIPMENT LTD - RAF-3903
ScoMac Catering Equipment Ltd is one of the largest independent commercial catering manufacturers/suppliers within the U.K. An excellent and varied opportunity has arisen to recruit for a Commercial Catering Service Engineer to complement our existing team of engineers.
Role Overview:
Based in Livingston, Scotland, this role reports to the Service Manager. This role is responsible for providing Commercial Catering Engineering to customers, predominately covering the Scottish Central Belt and Borders area. Main duties involved within this role include:
1. Service and repair of commercial catering equipment.
2. Completion of all current Company/Industry documentation i.e., Gas Warning Notices and Job Forms.
3. Improve quality of service by recommending improved processes.
4. Work to set procedures as outlined within specific job sheets.
5. Participate in standby Rota, currently 1 in 6 weeks.
6. Any other duties as required and within the skill set of this role.
Skills & Experience Required:
Must be fully conversant with all aspects of planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and installation of all commercial catering appliances (Gas & Electrical) which covers Ranges, Grills, Combination ovens, Fryers & ware washing equipment.
A qualification in Gas is a prerequisite of this role, i.e., Commercial Catering Gas Safety CCCN1 and COMCAT 1 & 3 with LPG. Possession of COMCAT 5 would be a distinct advantage.
Competent in Electrical Safety, Diagnosis, and fault finding. 18th edition preferable and would be a distinct advantage; however, depending on the needs and requirements of the business, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to attend training courses to obtain the required 18th edition electrical qualification.
Must possess a UK driving licence and be flexible and able to travel, stay overnight, and work weekends where required and in line with business needs.

What we offer in return:
Basic Salary: £38k to £44k depending on qualifications and experience.
Overtime will be required to accommodate our customers' requirements where applicable and will be paid at the relevant overtime rate.
Full time, permanent contract.

Standby paid at £120.00 per week plus time at the relevant overtime rate while attending out of hours calls.
