IT Service Design Consultant Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Nottingham and customer offices) Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Permanent About the Role: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Professional to join a growing team. Ideal for someone with a background in IT service management, service desk management, or team leadership, this role focuses on designing tailored IT service solutions without a sales-driven emphasis supporting in the creation of solutions for clients Key Responsibilities: Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal teams to evaluate customer requirements and design effective service solutions. Solution Design & Governance: Manage the design process, ensuring solutions meet customer needs and align with internal capabilities. Operational Governance: Follow internal processes for solution approval and ensure smooth transition to operational teams for delivery. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of new service offerings and improvements to existing services. Skills and Experience: Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT service management (ITIL), outsourcing, service desk operations, and cloud services. Problem Solving: Ability to design scalable solutions and manage them through delivery. Experience: Previous experience in IT service management, service desk management, or similar roles. Desirable Skills: PRINCE2 or other project management certifications. Familiarity with IT bid support and public sector procurement. Working Environment: Home-based with core hours (9 am - 5:30 pm). Occasional travel to Nottingham and customer sites (expenses covered). Flexibility in hours as required to meet customer needs. Why Join?
