Are you a caring person with a natural ability to put people at ease, develop relationships and ensure the highest level of customer care? If so, you belong at Bromford! We have been certified as a Great Place to Work organisation, and this is your opportunity to join us.
Being an Independent Living Scheme Officer is a challenging but hugely rewarding role empowering our customers to thrive in their homes. You will support older residents, ensuring their well-being and safety while managing site operations. You’ll have regular customer contact, complete annual independent living reviews, manage communal repairs and be responsible for H&S checks on site.
The right person will demonstrate empathy by being compassionate, patient and have a real understanding for the needs of older people. You will need to be visible to customers, visiting sites regularly, and you may need to support other schemes from time to time, so it will require travelling. You will develop those relationships and provide that essential point of contact for our older residents to make a difference.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You’ll support customers at our scheme in Virginia Close, Northway, Tewkesbury (GL20 8PL). A full UK driving licence is required.
You will be someone who:
* Is curious and don’t shy away from having difficult conversations
* Is tenacious and resilient - doing what it takes to achieve the right outcome
* Has basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn
* Has a track record of being self-motivated, flexible and able to manage your own workload
* Has a reputation for first-rate influencing, negotiating and relationship-building skills
* Has experience of working with older people, in a customer-focused environment
* Has experience of understanding and working within policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
