We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our client, a leading engineering contractor, working onsite with their client in South Wales.

Role Overview You will oversee the delivery of civil and structural engineering contracts, acting as Project Manager for works contracts while coordinating with the Construction Management team.
This role offers a chance to showcase your technical expertise and leadership skills on a significant project.
Although the role primarily involves civil engineering, opportunities exist for candidates with a structural engineering background.
Key Responsibilities Review designs and drawings from equipment manufacturers and civil/structural designers, ensuring constructability, coordination, and cost-effectiveness.
Assess payment applications, early warning notices, and compensation events, focusing on time and cost impacts.
Manage design and construction changes.
Plan and coordinate onsite activities.
Review and approve risk assessments and method statements.
Develop and manage construction schedules and budgets for civil and structural works contracts.
Monitor and maintain high-quality standards for all works.
Support health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout design and site activities.
Collaborate with the client team, contractors, and the supply chain to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Utilize BIM systems (e.g., BIM360, ACC) to review and mark up designs.
Provide regular reporting to senior client managers, working closely with construction and project controls teams.
Essential Requirements HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience in reviewing civil engineering drawings.
Proven ability to manage quality, costs, and budgets in construction contracts.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Excellent motivational and team management skills.
UK/EEC driving licence.
Desirable Skills and Experience Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Chartered membership or progress toward membership of a relevant professional body.
Civil/structural engineering design or design management experience.
Experience with industrial or heavy civil engineering projects.
Proficiency in NEC contract management.
Background in both civil and structural engineering is advantageous.
