We have an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Quantity Surveyor to join our North East commercial team based out of Newcastle. Location : Newcastle, Hebburn Contract : Full Time, Permanent What will you be responsible for? The Procurement Quantity Surveyor will be focussed on managing contributions from all departments relevant to the tendering and procurement process to ensure quality sub contractor procurement aligned with various tenders and PCSA's across the region. Your day to day will include: Working closely with the commercial manager determine works package breakdown and inclusions, current construction methodology and intents and schedule procurement stream for each package using contract programme. Prepare procurement strategy for each works package from package creation to package order placement and start on site Liaise with sub contractor supply chain to ensure timescales for the return of pricing is in line with Kier procurement programme Assess sub contractor return to ensure all relevant elements are included in line with project design specification Manage sub contractor relationships, fostering collaborative working with trusted partners as well as reviewing potential for new relationships within our supply chain What are we looking for? This role of Procurement Quantity Surveyor presents a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor level professional who would enjoy focussing on procurement rather than project surveying. The role offers flexibility to work between our Hebburn office and home as appropriate and agreed by the commercial manager.
