Carpentry Apprenticeship
Location: Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire
Pay: Nationally agreed apprentice pay rates, plus excellent company benefits (you will be paid for your normal working hours plus your attendance at college).
Eligibility: You must live in a North Lanarkshire postcode.

Role Overview:
As a Carpenter, you will work on building sites or in domestic and commercial premises, preparing and fixing building components, installing fixtures and fittings, and performing repair and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
All candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship. All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks.
Apprenticeship Course Coverage:
* Develop and maintain good working relations
* Read construction drawings
* Measure and transfer sizes
* Install first fix components
* Install second fix components
* Use a range of hand tools
* Set up and use a range of power tools
* Erect roof structures
* Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks
Successful Applicant Qualifications:
* Potential to work at SCQF level 6/7
* Desire to learn and develop skills, technology, and safety procedures
* Ability to independently travel to and from the branch
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to establish and maintain good customer/client relationships
* Candidates will undertake a pre-employment assessment
