We’re looking for an enthusiastic female Support Worker (Health Needs) to join our friendly and supportive Supported Living services team in Port Tennant, Swansea. In this rewarding role, you’ll be helping adults with complex needs live more independently – making every day meaningful. Our service runs 24/7, so flexibility is important. Shifts include:
* Day shifts: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
* Waking night shifts: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am (enhanced rates)
Experience working with adults with complex needs is essential, along with a full UK manual driving licence (you’ll be driving mobility vehicles). This role is a permanent part-time position (20/30-hour positions) with waking nights as extra. This role is open to women only due to the specific needs of the individuals supported in this service. In this role, you’ll be supporting four fantastic individuals with learning disabilities, helping them lead active, fulfilling lives. Each person we support has access to their own vehicle to promote independence, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
The individuals you’ll support love getting out and about—whether it’s day trips, scenic beach walks, strolls around the local area, or meals out. If you enjoy being active and making a real difference in people’s lives, this could be the perfect role for you!
What is the role?
As a Support Worker, you’ll be involved in all aspects of day-to-day support, including:
* Administering medication
* Preparing meals and supporting with mealtimes
* Laundry and household cleaning
* Accompanying on shopping trips and running errands
* Supporting relationships with friends, family, and the local community
* Taking part in leisure activities, such as swimming, cinema trips, and days out
* Advocating for their needs, preferences, and choices
* Providing personal care, with dignity and respect
* Assisting with manual handling as required
