This role is a new and exciting role within Supply Chain that will be responsible for the Quality & Food Safety risk management for Food contact Equipment by supporting appropriate validation of new equipment for Costa X, which are then launched to markets. What you'll do Being a Technical Manager (Equipment and Services) is about so much more than bringing our coffee to the world. It's your chance to stir up real success - which means you'll be:
* Working closely with the Costa X Innovation team, propositions and procurement teams during concept design to ensure machines are safe by design.
* Identifying Food Safety risks and working with the Costa X Innovation team to effectively mitigate or eliminate risks.
* Complete machine Food Safety risk assessments, using HACCP at the design and operational 'in use' phase of projects
* Develop Food Safety validation protocols to confirm that the Food Safety controls are adequate to ensure the safety and quality of the finished product beverages
* Manage in market verification test and audit programs for Costa equipment markets.
* First point of contact for customers and partners to resolve any Food Safety and Quality issues related to machines.
* Oversee the approval and verification of other equipment, other than Costa X developed equipment, and manage applicable services accordingly.
Who you are It's your unique ingredients we're interested in:
* Understanding of hygienic design principles relating to manufacturing/dispensing equipment
* Delivery of Quality & Food safety management for High risk products (Allergen, Microbiological, Chemical and Physical risks)
* Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and negotiate courses of action in the event of serious Food Safety & Occupational Health & Safety incidents
* Food Safety & Quality management for multiple product categories including Dairy, Coffee, chocolate and flavours.
* Detailed understanding of Allergen management
