However, sustainable development can only be delivered alongside a proactive and robust planning enforcement regime, and you will be part of a team with responsibility for investigating and resolving alleged breaches of planning control through negotiation and/or the service of planning enforcement notices with follow up of legal proceedings as appropriate. You will work in a vibrant and busy Development Management Service and the successful candidate will have to be enthusiastic, motivated and demonstrate a general understanding of town planning legislation, have good written and verbal communication skills and to be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
